The village altitude (2,820 ft) and its ideal position with regards to the National Park « Parc de La Vanoise » (Pralognan), the Spa towns (Brides les Bains et Salins les Thermes), and the famous winter sports resorts (Courchevel, La Tania, Champagny/La Plagne, Méribel) make it the perfect basecamp. *see special tarrifs when wanting to combine your stay with a stay in a Refuge. * check rates.

Without a car, access to the village of Bozel is via the train station at the bottom of the valley where you can catch a bus. Solutions will be offered to guests without vehicles for transfers from and to that station and to refuges.

Retired from the French Youth and Sports Administration, I live by myself in our renovated family home right in the heart of the village (my elder daughter has her alternative therapy practice on the ground floor and delivers treatments in “Shiatsu” one week a month, and I wouldn't mind more human contacts). A river and a spacious garden (with integrated barbecue, and table and garden chairs to eat out) shelter us from the buzz of noise and activity of the surrounding shops, and we can't get enough of the wonderful views over the mountains.
Access to the appartment is via a staircase on the groundfloor, which leads to an open plan dining/sitting room featuring exposed wooden beams and a distinctive logfire burner. Large French windows lead outside onto a balcony overlooking the magnificient mountain range. The kitchen is open plan into the main room.
Besides my own bedroom, the « yellow » guest room at the back of the property offers a garden/mountain view and can accommodate up to 3 people (bunk beds and a single). It is next to the bathroom and separate toilet.
The bedroom has a single top bunk, and two singles which can be pushed next to each other to form a double. Linen and towels are provided. There is also a wardrobe with shelves and hanging space, 2 bedside tables with bedside lamps, a chest of drawers, a desk and chair. Shutter blinds allow for total darkness at night. Heating is provided via a water radiator. An internet connection plug is also available in the room.
A Sauna (by wood) can, on request and optional, get you other enjoyments...

Mimimum stay is 3 consecutive nights
*but for longer summer stays, in order to allow you to make the most of Mountain chalets – they are numerous in this area (Refuges), the cost per stay would be as follows 4/5 nights = 1 free, 6/7 nights = 2 free, 8/9 nights = 3 free, ie out of a booked 8 nights stay, if you spend 3 in a refuge, you would only pay for 5, allowing changes due to weather. The room is yours for the whole stay, you can leave stuff there.
The price per night, including a “reasonable” amount of utilities, bedlinen and towels is 59 for 3 people and 47 for 2 people and 40 € for one.

Since you are very close to all amenities (less than 50m), your meals can be takeaways, a few shelves will be set aside for you in the kitchen.
