Unique bulgarian museum village - Koprivshtitsa. An astounding number of renowned Bulgarians - writers, poets, revolutionist and politicians have come forth from the small mountain village Koprivshtitsa. The houses in which they were born now serve as museums honouring these great persons and episodes of Bulgarian history. The most noteworthy of these places are the Oslekov House (erected in 1856) with its impressive interior, wood carvings and wall paintings, the Liutov House, a prime example of 'Bulgarian baroque', and the Kableshkov house, with typical interior design and an exhibit highlighting the fight for independence.
