Our house is located in St. Margarethen, a lovely little community in the beautiful Salzburg Lungau, in the heart of the UNESCO Biosphere Park Salzburg Lungau. The tranquil place has preserved its originality through the still untouched cultural and natural landscape with lived traditions to this day. The central yet quiet location of our house with a view of the surrounding mountains and the wide Mur Valley gives it its special charm. Your holiday will be a special experience here.
In SUMMER, the "Alpenblick" is the ideal starting point for countless hikes in one of the 13 Lungau side valleys, to deep blue mountain lakes, cozy alpine huts and imposing mountain peaks.
Cyclists appreciate the well-developed and signposted cycle path network, you can get on the well-known Murradweg “Tour de Mur” directly. Let your eventful bike tour end comfortably on our terrace under the cherry tree. A well-chilled refreshment directly from the fountain is provided!
With the LungauCard Summer you get many discounts and free admission, for example for trips with the Lungau mountain railways.
"Ski in & ski out" - Especially in WINTER you benefit from the perfect location of our house. The entry point to the Aineck-Katschberg ski area - "Silverjet1" - can be reached in about 3 minutes on foot. Departure from the slopes directly to the front door. This is real luxury on a skiing holiday! Ski storage and drying room with ski boot dryer are of course available. Sledges are available free of charge. The nearby cross-country ski run as well as the surrounding inns and the department store in town are also within walking distance.
