After leaving the apartment you will find yourself in the middle of the lively and trendy district of Mitte. Due to Berlin´s extensive network of public transport, all sights of the city are easily accessible.
You will find grocery stores for your daily needs right on your doorstep.

The flat has a modern, fully equipped kitchen. The apartment is tastefully decorated with accessories giving it a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Meals can be enjoyed at a dining table. One double bed and a double sofa bed are available. Large TV and hi-fi system. Towels and bed linen are included.
The flat has got a superb location as it is situated straight across from Alexanderplatz and the world-famous television tower, in the middle of all cultural and political highlights of the town. Within walking distance you can reach the government quarter (Regierungsviertel) with its interesting buildings; theatres like The Berliner Ensemble and the Friedrichstadtpalast; the Museum Island – a World Cultural Heritages Site; and other famous attractions of the city like Unter den Linden Boulevard, Alexanderplatz, Hackesche Höfe and many others. To mention them all would result in a small guidebook of Berlin.
The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric stove, coffee maker, toaster, kettle, cutlery, refrigerator, microwave, dish-washer, cutlery, dishes, and kitchenware from wine glasses to frying pans: everything you need for a quick breakfast or a luxurious dinner.
In addition, you will find a children's chair and a baby cot (by request).

The district of Mitte is definetely the district with the most tourist attractions in the whole town. The list of sights and historical buildings and squares, is endless. The Brandenburg Gate, a landmark both before and after reunification, is the most famous monument in Berlin. From here the magnificent boulevard Unter den Linden runs almost all the way to Alexanderplatz with its Television Tower and World Time Clock. On the way you will be passing the Humboldt University, the oldest university in Berlin, Staatsopera (the Opera House), Museumsinsel (the Museum Island) and the site of the future Stadtschloss (Town Castle).
The Museumsinsel (Museum Island) is a World Heritage Site. It is a treasure-trove of famous museums. Friedrichstrasse is today a commercial shopping boulevard with noble and grand shopping stores like Galerie Lafayette, Quartier Latin and various international couture boutiques. The street leads to Checkpoint Charlie, the main gateway for the Allied forces, non-Germans and diplomats before the wall came down - and then leads on further to Oranienburger Strasse.
This former Jewish quarter is a very popular district for going out and very famous for its nightlife and hip young crowd. Nearby you will find the Neue Synagoge and the Hackesche Höfe. Gendarmenmarkt, which is said to be one of the most beautiful squares in Europe, is also not far away. Here you will find buildings like the Schauspielhaus as well as the German and French Cathedrals.
Berlin has an extensive network of public transport. Because of the central location a lot of visitors leave their cars parked or don't even come to town by car at all. Many of the tourist attractions are easily and rapidly accessible. The apartment is located nearby the underground station Alexanderplatz in the former East Berlin. Nearby you will find sights like Alexanderplatz, Brandenburg Gate and the famous boulevard Unter den Linden. Several urban railway stations (S-Bhf.), busses (also night busses) and a taxi rank can be found in the area.
How to get to the flat:
The nearest motorway exit is situated 6 kilometers away - north of the flat - and will take you only a couple of minutes by car.
From Tegel Airport: take bus no. TXL to the station Mollstrasse/Prenzlauer Allee (33 min. journey time).
From Schönefeld Airport: take the regional train RE7 (direction Dessau) to the station Alexanderplatz (21 min. journey time)
From Hauptbahnhof (the central train station) you travel with the urban railway line S7 (or another line in the same direction) to the station Alexanderplatz (7 min. journey time).
