Description
2-room-apartment (56 sqm) with the typical flair of an old Berliner period building, with a living room and a dining area for four people, a fully equipped kitchen, a cosy bedroom and a balcony. The flat has got a comfortable futon bed (160 x 200), a large convertible sofa-bed (150 x 200) and sufficient bed linen and towels are included. There is a free internet/WLAN connection, a TV, a hi-fi, and plenty of space for luggage and clothes.
The kitchen comes fully equipped with electric stove, fridge, dish-washer, coffee machine, toaster, cutlery, dishes, and kitchenware from wine glasses to frying pans: everything you need for a quick breakfast or a luxurious dinner.
There are free public parking spaces on the streets around the house.
The apartment is situated in Schöneberg, a central area close to Kudamm, Berlin`s famous shopping mile and elegant promenade. You will live between city-west and city-east in an ideal situation between the interesting central areas of Kudamm and Potsdamer Platz. The apartment is also close to Tiergarten, Berlin`s largest city park, reputed to be one of the most beautiful parks in Europe.
There are numerous shopping opportunities nearby, as well as trendy areas and a lively cultural- and night-life directly on your doorstep. A large and beautiful market (Winterfeldmarkt) is very nearby, reputed to be one of the most interesting markets in Berlin.
In Berlin you will find a very extensive public transport network. Many sights are directly and rapidly accessible. Because of the central location most guests leave their car parked, or do not even bring it at all. The apartment lies between Winterfeldtplatz and Kleistpark the west-Berlin district of Schöneberg, near Kudamm and Zoological garden, the Zoo with the world`s highest number of species. The flat has good public transport connections: underground lines, (night -) buses and a taxi stand are all nearby.
You will meet the typical mixture of antiques shops, countless cafés and a multitude of restaurants, art shops, galeries, antiquarian bookstores and small businesses. The many small and medium shops in the area offer a diverse shopping experience.
The nearest motorway exit is situated approx. 3 kilometres away and will take you only a couple of minutes by car. It is called Innsbrucker Platz.
From the airport Tegel you take the bus X9 to the station Ernst-Reuter-Platz, change there into the underground line U2 (direction Pankow) and travel to the station Nollendorfplatz (27 min.).
From the airport Schönefeld you take the S9 (or an other S-line) to the station Warschauer-Str. and change there into the underground line U1 (direction Uhlandstr) and leave at the station Nollendorfplatz (50 min.).
From Hauptbahnhof (the central train station) take the S-Bahn (the urban railway) to the station Zoologischer Garten and change there into the U2 (direction Pankow) and travel to the station Nollendorfplatz (17 min.).
