3-room apartment (120 sqm) for 1-4 adults on the second floor of a grand period building with high stucco ceilings, wonderfully proportioned large rooms and original parquet. It lies directly nearby the famous Varieté Wintergarten and in opposite of the Berlin newspaper "Der Tagesspiegel".

The very spacious living room (30 square metres) includes a large corner sofa. Perfect for kicking back and relaxing with a bottle of wine at the end of a hard day's sightseeing or shopping! One living room furnished with crystal chandeliers and designer furniture.

The large master bedroom includes a super kingsize double bed (poster bed) - that's a unique one and designed by an Italian artist especially for this apartment - and a lot of space additionally.

In the smaller bedroom are two large single beds. You find a lot space for your clothes in the embedded wardrobe.

Much thought and effort has been spent on furnishing the apartment in a modern, minimalist, yet practical way, a lot of elements of an Italian style between Art Noveau and (neo)-Classism, designed to enhance the clean lines of the design and encourage you to feel at home. Enjoy every inch of space in an atmosphere of refinement and luxury. A place in which to relax and from which to discover.

The sculptures comes from an important Italian Museum (has been authorized to realize " il calco" a mold copy on the original applying sylicon) and the artist is working there and in Vatican also. The head with beard is the Ercole Farnese del Museo Archeologico di Napoli, the other two heads are Alessandro Magno morente (dying Alexander) e Alessandro Magno Vivo (Alive). The iron sculpture is an African Moneta used as marriage dowry to "pay" a wife in Africa.

The ceilings throughout the apartment are 4 metres (13 feet) high, and several of the rooms include floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing masses of natural light to flood into the apartment. The finest parquet wooden floor has been laid in all the rooms except the bathrooms and kitchen.

The flat has free wireless internet access and central heating. Use it also with the free WiFi as your additionally and quiet working space with your laptop.

The house was build 1874 and it was renovated in 2010 wiht the high restriction of the Berlin conservation of ancient monuments. You live in a typical apartment of the Wilhelmian style. There is also a great and large garden. You find a lot of space a historic waterspout fountain.

The kitchen is new and fully equipped with state of the stove, electric oven, fridge-freezer and dishwasher. It serves a quick breakfast as well as the delightful extended dinner. Everything needed for cosy family meals and grand dinner parties; dishes, glasses, crockery, cutlery, pots and pans. If you are like to have a picnik in the summer - e.g. in the famous Tiergarten nearby - you will find a large picnic basket.

The apartment is located in the central district of Schoeneberg nearby Mitte district in very well known Potsdamer Strasse nearby the famous Potsdamer Platz. If you need some peace and quiet you can walk to the Landwehr canal. This apartment is located within a short way of all the major sights, museums, galleries and shops of Berlin, making it the ideal base for exploring this great city. Very nearby (few minutes top walk) are e.g. "New National Gallery" of Mies van der Rohe, The Berlin Philharmonics and the Pinacothèque or the Gallery District - but that are 'only' examples.

Should you need to use public transport, there are underground stations two minutes walk away. There are also many bus connections and a taxi-rank nearby.

You meet the typical mixture of antiques, countless cafes and a multitude of restaurants, art shops, galleries, antiquities and small businesses. Many small and medium shops close by entice to diversified shopping sprees. If shopping you thing, you can walk in a short way to the Potsdamer Platz area or in one of the uncountless shops in Mitte district.

Potsdamer Platz is an important public square and traffic intersection in the centre of Berlin, lying about one km south of the Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag (German Parliament Building), and close to the southeast corner of the Tiergarten park. After developing within the space of little over a century from an intersection of rural thoroughfares into the most bustling traffic intersection in Europe, it was totally laid waste during World War II and then left desolate during the Cold War era when the Berlin Wall bisected its former location. Since German Reunification, Potsdamer Platz has been the site of major redevelopment projects.

How to reach the apartment when arriving in Berlin:

In Berlin you will find a very compact public transportation network. Many sights are directly and rapidly accessible. Because of the central location most guests leave their cars parked or do not even bring them at all. The apartment lies nearby at U-bahn (underground) station Buelowstrasse, Kurfuerstenstrasse or Potsdamer Platz in the western city near Kudamm and Zoological Garden, the Zoo with the world`s highest number of species. Several underground lines, (night -) buses and a taxi stand are very close to the apartment.

By Road:
The nearest motorway exit is situated 3 kilometres away - south of the flat - and will take you only a couple of minutes by car. It is called Innsbrucker Platz. Berlin's inner city is an 'environmental zone' where only cars that are up to emission standards are allowed. You need a sticker with information about the emission standard of your car.

By Air:
From Tegel Airport: take the bus no. TXL up to underground station Brandenburger Tor, there you change into the S-Bahn (urban railway) to Potsdamer Platz, take the bus M48 (direction Zehlendorf)) and get off at the station Lützowstrasse/Potsdamer Strasse (42 min. journey time).
From Schönefeld airport: (there a different ways) take the train RB14 (direction Nauen) to the station Friedrichstrasse, change into the S25 or (urban railway) in the direction Teltow to the station Potsdamer Platz, take the bus M48 (direction Zehlendorf)) and get off at the station Lützowstrasse/Potsdamer Strasse (36 min. journey time).

By Train:
From Hauptbahnhof (the central train station) you travel with the bus M85 (direction Lichterfelde Sued) and get off at the the station Varian-Fry-Strasse (11 min. journey time) Alternative you can take the bus M41 (direction Sonnenallee) to the Station Potsdamer Platz/Vossstrasse (10 min. journey time).
