Frauenkirche
This cathedral is the landmark of Munich and, with a height of 100 meters, the tallest building in the city center. The steeple of Frauenkirche, whose name is dedicated to women, can be seen from anywhere in the city, thanks to the Munich city council’s decision that no buildings be built in the city that are higher than spire. The building can hold 20,000 people; astonishing, considering Munich's population was only about 13,000 when the edifice was finished.
Sports facilities
Olympic Park was established for the occasion of the Summer Olympic Games in 1972. The central building is Olympiastadion (Olympic Stadium) which can hold 69,000 spectators.
